There’s a fair bit of talk about seasonal ingredients nowadays – and that’s because local produce, grown at the right time of year makes sense for lots of reasons.
We bake all cakes, all year around, but we do choose seasonal ingredients where we can. As well as being kinder to the planet, you have to agree that strawberries taste better in the summer and pears pack more of a punch in the winter.
